Burnaby’s Environment Committee Hears from Sue Big Oil Delegation

On February 21, 2024, Kate McMahon from the Burnaby Sue Big Oil team and Fiona Koza from West Coast Environmental Law presented to the City of Burnaby’s Environment Committee. There were four City Councillors there, who all spoke in support of Sue Big Oil – some very passionately.

Kate also provided to the committee over 400 signatures and a stack of hand-drawn letters from kids. The Committee voted unanimously to send a motion to sue big oil to Council.

There was impressive attendance from Burnaby volunteers and supporters and the kids all cheered enthusiastically when the committee voted.
